Many of you have been asking if you can pledge on more than one item, and which books or comics we recommend for brand new fans.  So we thought this time we’d talk about how different titles fit into the overall story. Which book should you read first, and what book after that?  We’ll also include photos of the covers, so you’ll quickly know which items you already have.  All our books are illustrated.

Top item:  City of the Gods: Forgotten.  This is the first book in the series and is the jumping off point for discovering the Realms of the Gods.  If you don’t have this book, you should really get it, as it is the backbone of the other books and comics. It’s an epic fantasy that is over 400 pages long.  You can get it with a $20 pledge

Next up: City of the Gods: Guardian.  This is the second book in the series and what our Kickstarter project is all about.  The story and themes from the first book continue.  We will have a small section in the front of the book that will catch you up on events in the first book, so you won’t be lost if you haven’t read it.  You can get book two with the $25 pledge.

Mythic Tales: This is a collection of short stories and vignettes using characters from the first book.  It works as a good introduction to the world, but it’s probably more enjoyable if you’ve read the first (or second) book. Mythic Tales also reprints two classic short stories, one by Edgar Allen Poe and one by Bram Stoker.  The book is 152 pages long and you can get it with the $15 pledge.

Pantheon of the Gods:  This comic/illustrated story is a prequel to the novel.  In it you’ll find Sekhmet, Tenh-mer, Tara, and Zeus. You’ll see how they earned the positions they hold when you meet them later in the City of the Gods novels. By working together, they face a threat to the entire Realm and have a difficult time convincing the other gods that danger is about to befall them all. You get this comic when you pledge $10.

About pledging: You can change the amount of your pledge. Go to the Kickstarter page for City of the Gods and click on the ‘Back this Project’ button, or log-in to your Kickstarter account.  Once it takes you to your pledge page, you can add whatever additional pledge amount you wish.  So for example, if you have already pledged $25 to get the second novel and you want to also get the first novel, just add an extra $20 to your total (raising it to $45). When we send out the pledge survey, you’ll have the opportunity to let us know that you want both books.  And don’t forget, everyone is also getting a surprise bonus item free.  If we get to our second stretch goal (and we ARE getting close) you’ll also get an 11 x 17 full color map of the realms of the gods.  Don't forget, you can also get any of these items as gifts for your friends - We can even sign the book to them if you ask.

Here’s the link if you want to go to our Kickstarter page

Thanks again for all your support and please tell your friends to join in on the fun!
I thought I'd put in a quick note here to update you all, so here goes...

Kickstarter was a total success for us and we got more than we were expecting in terms of pledges. Even more importantly (for us anyway) was that we got a lot of NEW readers who pledged so they could get the first book! This was an unexpected surprize and we are really looking forward to to seeing what they thought of the first novel.

Meanwhile we have been making steady progress on the new CoG: Guardian novel and are now just filling in the gaps in the prose. Often a scene comes and you write it when the muse strikes, regardless of where in the story that scene take place. Eventually you have lots of scenes like that, and then you realize its time to "connect the dots."
We know where the novel is going before we even start writing it, but we don't write it in chronologial order.

All right, that's it for now. Thanks all for helping us on Kickstarter adn please, if you haven't reviewed or rated our books at Goodreads or at - Please do!
Meanwhile here's a new picture from the next book...
